Types of Police Record Checks
The Sécurité publique de la MRC des Collines de l’Outaouais conducts criminal record checks (for employment).A person may have to prove that he or she does not have a criminal record or a criminal history, that is, that he or she has not been convicted of or charged with a criminal or penal offence. She may need to show this for civil purposes or because her job requires it.
DESCRIPTION
Civilian Criminal Record Check (CCRC)
(Applicable fee of $100)
This type of check is performed when applying for citizenship or immigration, for a visa application, for the lifting of an entry ban, for a work permit or pre-employment permit for salaried or volunteer work, for a certified criminal record attestation, a certificate of good conduct or any other application for employment (salaried or volunteer) that does not meet the criteria indicated in section 6. 3(1) of the Criminal Records Act (vulnerable clientele).
